know who you show up for and who you drift from

It's easy to lose track of how long it's been since you last saw someone or had a meaningful conversation. memorist helps by building a relationship history from your entries. Every time you tag a person, that interaction is recorded. Over weeks and months, you get a clear picture of who you're spending time with — and who you may be drifting from.

When you write about someone, just write naturally. memorist recognizes proper nouns and matches names from your existing tag library, surfacing suggestions as chips below your text. Tap a chip to confirm the tag. You can also type # followed by a name to tag someone that doesn't get inferred automatically.

If it's a new name, memorist will ask you to classify it as a Person, Place, or Thing before saving. You can tag multiple people in a single entry — each tagged person is linked to that entry.

Tap in the bottom nav and select the Person filter at the top of the screen. This shows all the people you've tagged across your entries.

Tap any name to open their profile. You'll see a recency banner showing how long it's been since your last interaction, and details like relationship type and significant dates.

Each person's profile shows a recency banner — a clear indicator of how long it's been since your last entry mentioning them. This gives you an at-a-glance sense of which relationships are active and which may need attention.

The screen with the Person filter selected gives you an overview of everyone you've tagged. If you've set Tempo on any of your contacts, they're grouped by off-tempo and on-tempo status — making it easy to see who you're staying connected with and who you may be drifting from.

If you want to go a step further, set a Tempo™ for specific people. Tempo adds an interval — from weekly to yearly — so memorist can show you when you're falling behind. Tagging shows you the history, and Tempo helps you shape the future.

What to know about relationship tracking

Tracking is entirely passive.
You don't need to log interactions separately. Just tag people as you journal and the history builds itself.
All relationship data stays private.
Tagged people are never notified or contacted. This is a personal record, visible only to you.
You can tag anyone.
Friends, family, coworkers, acquaintances — there are no limits. How you use tags is up to you.
