Your journal is yours — not just while you're using memorist, but always. memorist subscribers can export their complete journal data at any time, with no restrictions and no waiting period.
Open memorist and tap in the bottom nav. Scroll down to the Your Data section, where you'll find the privacy and export options that give you full control over your journal.
In the Your Data section, tap Export data. memorist will prepare a complete export of your journal, including all events, entries, tags, photos, and metadata.
The export contains everything — nothing is left behind or summarized. You get the same data that lives on your device.
memorist may ask you to verify your identity before exporting — this protects your data from unauthorized access. Once confirmed, your export is generated and a share sheet appears.
Save it to Files, send it via AirDrop, email it to yourself, or store it in any cloud service. Choose whatever destination works for you.
After saving, open the export to confirm your data is complete. Check that events, entries, photos, and tags are present and readable. Your export is a standalone copy — it does not depend on memorist being installed or active.
You can export as often as you want. Use it for regular backups or as a one-time migration if you're moving to a different tool.
